BuckTool 2x42 Clearance Wheel Mod (For Leather & Scotch-Brite Belts)
Run Thick Belts Without Cutting Your Guard
If you own the BuckTool 2x42 Variable Speed Belt Sharpener, you’ve likely run into the clearance wall: trying to mount a leather belt or a 3M Scotch-Brite surface conditioning belt causes the thick material to jam directly against the factory belt guard. Until now, the only workaround was taking a rotary tool or saw to your machine to permanently cut away the housing.
I teamed up with a design engineer out of Austin, Texas, to solve this problem the right way.
This custom-engineered clearance wheel is slightly downsized from the factory drive/tracking wheel geometry, giving you the exact clearance needed to run thicker leather strops, Scotch-Brite, and surface conditioning belts effortlessly, all while keeping your factory belt guard 100% intact.
Key Bench Features:
-
No Permanent Modifications: Preserves your machine's structural integrity and factory guard. No cutting, grinding, or jeopardizing that warranty.
-
Precision Engineered: Co-developed with an Austin-based design engineer for exact shaft fitment and smooth tracking performance on the BuckTool 2x42 frame.
